Welcome to Fit4Paradise!

Hi! Thanks for visiting Fit4Paradise. I hope you will be inspired by what you discover here! Fit4Paradise is a health & fitness lifestyle blog focused on helping women get in shape physically through fun and effective workouts and spiritually through faith-based reflections.

If you’ve stumbled upon this page, you probably believe that fitness is a lifestyle and love to exercise and are looking for more workouts to add to your routine. You might be an aspiring Proverbs 31 woman or striving to be a saint and you need tips and motivation for staying on the right path. You’ve got your priorities straight and God is #1 in your life so you don’t follow the crowd. So bold. So counter-cultural. So badass.

But maybe you…
    • Find it difficult to stick with an exercise program or reach your fitness goals.

You need fun and effective workouts to help you stick to your goals.

    • Are a stay-at-home mom who struggles to find time to workout since you can’t leave the house.

You need quick and fun workouts you can do at home so that you can regain your sanity! #NFP4Life

    • Are looking for a way to combine your passion for fitness with your faith.

You need a workout program that delivers both.

    • Are a Zumba instructor who really just wants to download some choreography notes.

      That’s perfectly ok too!

    • Are a guy who wants to understand the inner workings of the feminine mind.

Hey man, if you get inspired to dance to Zumba in your living room, more power to ya, bro.

    My Mission

No matter where you are on your faith walk or fitness journey, my mission at Fit4Paradise is to help you get physically fit for here on Earth and hopefully we can also help each other get our souls fit for what really matters...our eternal life in heaven.

My Catholic faith and fitness have been two major influences in my life and I’m always looking for new ways to combine them. I believe the best friendships are those that push you to be the best version of yourself. Aristotle also regarded virtuous friendships or being friends with someone based on their character, as the highest form of friendship. Life is too short for shallow friendships or relationships that don’t push you towards virtue.

Sometimes living your faith and striving for virtue in today’s culture can be a lonely road. That’s why in 2011, I started a sports group in the Diocese of Arlington (Virginia), Catholic Sports Club, as a way for young adults to share their passion for sports and their faith. I always try to surround myself with people who are striving to better themselves either spiritually, mentally or physically. I would like to use this blog as a way to create more products that combine faith and fitness together.

I truly believe the idea for this blog was put on my heart for a reason. I started working on it right before Christmas while I was at home visiting my family and have continued to build this site throughout the government shutdown. Even though I still have no idea when I’ll be back to working my regular job, right now, I’m just putting total trust in God and being open to whatever plans He has for this website. If I can help just one virtual friend grow in their faith or reach their fitness goals, all of this will be worth it. I have a voice in me head telling me I’m not Fit2WriteThisBlog. But guess what, I’m gonna do it anyway.

    Tools for Success

I currently have a growing list of dance fitness routines and workouts on this site and I want to expand it to include HIIT workouts as well as other toning exercises. Future products I’d like to add to this site include:

    • Christian Dance Fitness Workout Videos (Send me song requests that you’d like to see in these workouts!)
    • 12 Week Mind, Body & Soul Fitness Guide (Using inspiration from the Bible and the Saints)
    • E-commerce Shop (Sports Apparel & Gear, Inspirational Artwork & Photography)
    • Workout App Combining Faith & Fitness
These are all very big dreams, but my goal with this blog is to make all of these dreams become a reality. I hope to use your feedback in creating some of these products so I can create what works best for you. I’m so glad you’re here and I hope you’ll stick around for the journey!

    Meet Maria

Hi! I'm Maria and the creator of this blog and in my day job I work as a Multimedia Producer for NASA and as a Zumba Fitness Instructor on the side. When I’m not stuck working in a cubicle, you can find me dancing in exotic places around the world recording Zumba routines for my YouTube channel, playing sports, reading (especially books on Catholicism and the saints) and spending quality time with my friends and family.

As a single girl in my 30s, I’m trying to really maximize this period of my life and focus on using the talents God has given me to the fullest. I live by the premise that every day is a gift and a heart full of gratitude for the simple things in life is truly the key to happiness. I’ve had my share of struggles in life just like everyone else, and I’m not an expert on all things regarding faith & fitness, but I’ve learned that keeping God #1 gives you the right perspective and always puts you on the path to success. I hope to deliver health & fitness tips for your mind, body and soul through what I share on this website.

I appreciate you for being on this journey with me. Let’s get Fit4Paradise together!
